Holiday Gift Ideas from STC's Secret Garden-Themed Holiday MRKT

A couple of weeks ago, I went to check out Scarborough Town Centre's Holiday MRKT created in collaboration with Huda Alvi.  The Secret Garden-themed market features 12 artisanal vendors in a stunning space filled with gorgeous white hanging floral installations and a photo-opp friendly swing wrapped in white succulents.

While at the market, I had the chance to peruse over the offerings (while adding many of them to my Christmas gift list) and chat with some of the vendors to learn more about their brands. Below, some of my top picks from the market, all of which will make wonderful Christmas gifts for either yourself, or others!

Crystals from Atlas Trove

I was instantly drawn to Atlas Trove's table because of the stunning array of crystals. The owner, Nicole Kay, individually hand mines or hand picks the crystals from her travels across the globe, and designs not only the crystalariums but also the jewelry. Though crystals have become trendy lately, Nicole has been passionate about them since a young age. "When they became a thing, I said to myself, 'Oh, well it's cool that my passion is now a trend!'' she told me. All of her pieces would make a great gift – either for someone who is interested in the healing power of crystals, or for someone who simply likes the look and aesthetic of them.

Girl Love Fund

If you're looking for a gift that gives back, check out Girl Love Fund. The accessories line, which was created by Sharon Chung and her teenage daughter, aims to ensure that every girl has a positive influence in their life, and supports young girls by donating 30 per cent of each purchase directly to a women-focused charity such as Girls Inc. and We R Gemz. Bonus, all pieces are under $30 and are super cute for both teens and grown-ups.

If you've walked down Queen Street West lately, you've probably noticed the all-pink store filled with gorgeous decor and fashion-forward shoes. The store is home to Toronto-based shoe brand, Vivorosa, which is holding a pop-up at the STC Holiday MRKT. My fave pair? The knee-high white slouchy boots as seen in the photo above. Want a pair for yourself? Use the promo code "madelyn20" for 20 per cent off shoes.

Need a sweet treat to bring to your holiday parties? Guschlbauer is a tasty, non-typical option. The Austrian brand, which has become majorly popular in Korea and Hong kong, is famous for their quarter cheese buns and cream puffs that your hosts are guaranteed to love.

Beautifulk Day

Another booth I was drawn to was Beautifulk Day which features unique earrings from Korea. The owner, Dayeon Yang, recently moved to Canada to get married (!!!) and she's brought along some trendy pieces that won't break the bank. Side note: I also brought my mom to check out the Holiday MRKT and she was obsessed with these pieces, too!

Scentsitively, the makers of Jewelry In Candles and Jewelry in Bath Bombs has set up shop at the Holiday MRKT to offer an array of giftable products like bath bombs, candles, bath salts and more.

At STC Holiday MRKT until Dec. 31.

Please Notes

Quite possibly one of my fave picks of the entire bunch is Please Notes' Guided Affirmation Journal. Created by Cheryl Sutherland (who, guys, is SO AWESOME IRL), the journal is designed to help you question and discover your current life while exploring and creating the life you want to live. It's a great gift for anyone looking to harness the power of manifestation.

At STC Holiday MRKT until Dec. 31, alongside Girl Love Fund.

The STC Holiday MRKT is open until Dec. 31 and accepts cash, credit and debit. Happy shopping!
